The Good Old Days

The one thing that stayed constant in my life was baseball I began when i was 4 and am still playing. Having a passion for something like i had for baseball growing up was amazing. It brought me excitement everyday.

The Photo here is from my first time on a high level team. I never was a catcher I didn't know how to do anything really so I was nervous, I'm glad I didn't give up when I struggled I kept pushing and pursuing now looking back it was the best thing for me I learned new skills which helped me in life.

Leadership, confidence, teamwork. These three words is what my team lived by at the end of the day we were a "Family" and we did everything for each other. I was 12 years old and that year we went 52-0. When someone struggled we picked each up up nobody was left behind.

Something that was a strong influence on my baseball career was my coaches, it started off with Coach Damien the first ever coach that gave me a chance. After a really poor year and getting cut from a team I was feeling really down on myself Coach Damien took me in and changed my entire career. I will forever be grateful.

Fast forward about 4 years and I have changed my perspective completely I have a Ontario championship under my belt and two Mississauga championships. Another coach who impacted me was Coach Jeff he allowed me to be who I wanted to be and he helped me focus on the smaller things in my game.

These pictures brought back memories I forgot I had, years of hard work and dedication to a sport I love. If you ever get a chance to go back and look at old photos I highly suggest you do it is such a DE stressor.

This last photo is my all time favourite because it was my final year on the Mississauga Majors team I grew up with. We built a dynasty here and we cemented it with another Ontario Championship. I played for Mississauga for roughly 7 years and I gained friendships that turned to Brotherhoods and Life lessons I still have to this day.

The thing I love about looking through old photos is the memories and it isn't even close, throughout the entire hour to hour and a half I spent searching I found myself get emotion remembering certain times and then really happy remembering other times. Life moves so fast and we don't even notice it. I strongly advise you to take a day look through some old photos or binders you have and take the time to remember what you've done in life you will notice how much you have achieved and it will be mind blowing it sure was for me.
